Operable Wall & Partition Service and Repair
Service, repair and maintenance throughout Michigan for operable walls, folding panel and folding glass partitions, accordion partitions, exterior folding glass, lockers and raised access floors.
Hufcor wall replacement
Have an aging Hufcor wall? Replace the panels, keep your track.
Modernfold has the ability to meet or exceed any Hufcor spec or product. New Modernfold panels can be retrofitted to your existing Hufcor overhead track: a significant cost savings compared with full-system replacement, with no ceiling demolition and far less mess.
Service & Repair
Keep your walls moving and closing right
Operable walls and folding partitions get moved, stacked and sealed again and again. Over time panels drift out of adjustment, seals wear, trolleys and track wear down and finishes get scuffed. The result is a wall that is hard to move, doesn't close tight or lets sound through.
LG2 handles operable wall repair, folding partition and folding glass wall repair, accordion door repair, locker repair and access floor work, along with inspection, adjustment and preventive maintenance. Send a service request with a few details and photos and we'll follow up to schedule.

Common problems
Signs your wall needs service
Panels are hard to move
Panels that take extra effort to push, or stop partway, often point to track, trolley or adjustment issues.
Sticking or dragging
Panels that rub the floor, catch on the track or scrape neighboring panels are usually out of adjustment or worn.
Seals not closing
Top and bottom seals that won't extend or retract fully leave gaps and make the wall harder to operate.
Sound leaking between rooms
When seals, sweeps or panel joints don't close fully, a wall won't perform at its rated STC.
Damaged or worn fabric and finish
Torn fabric, scuffed vinyl, dented edges or worn markerboard make a wall look tired, even when it runs well.
Track and trolley wear
Worn wheels, bearings and track sections cause noise, rough travel and panels that sag or drift.
Pass doors not latching
Pass doors that won't close, latch or line up with the panel frame need hardware and alignment work.
Electric operation faults
Automated and motor-driven walls that stall, won't respond to the controls or stop mid-travel.

FAQ
Service & repair FAQ
- What kinds of systems does LG2 service?
- LG2 provides service and repair for operable walls and folding panel partitions, folding glass partitions including ComfortDrive automated systems, exterior folding glass walls, accordion partitions and accordion doors, lockers, and raised access floors.
- Why is my operable wall hard to move?
- Common causes include worn trolleys or track, panels that have drifted out of adjustment, and seals that drag instead of retracting. An inspection and adjustment visit is usually the first step to finding the cause.
- Why can we hear sound through the partition when it's closed?
- An operable wall only performs at its rated STC when every seal, sweep and panel joint closes fully. Worn or damaged seals, panels out of alignment, and gaps at the ends or top of the wall are common reasons sound leaks between rooms.
- Can worn or damaged panel fabric be replaced?
- Yes. Panel refinishing and refabricing can replace worn fabric, vinyl or other finishes on existing panels. Include photos of the panels in your service request so LG2 can review the finish and condition.
- Does LG2 offer preventive maintenance?
- Yes. Scheduled inspection and adjustment helps keep walls operating smoothly and can catch wear before it becomes a repair. Mention it in your service request and LG2 will follow up.
- What should I include in a service request?
- Include the product type, the manufacturer if you know it, the approximate install year, a short description of what's happening, and how urgent it is. A wide photo of the wall plus close-ups of the problem area and any product label are very helpful.
- What if I don't know the manufacturer or product type?
- Choose Not sure. Labels are often found on a panel edge, in the stack area or on the track. If you can't find one, photos of the wall and hardware help LG2 identify the system.
- What happens after I submit a request?
- LG2 reviews the request and contacts you by your preferred method to ask any questions and schedule service. If the wall is out of service, select that urgency level, and you can also call us directly.
- Do you serve my area?
- Yes. LG2 is based in Grand Rapids and provides service and repair throughout Michigan, including Modernfold operable walls, folding glass and accordion partitions.
