The project
How the space works
What the job needed
The floor pairs a large glass boardroom with an open lounge and work area. The room needed to close off for private meetings and open back up to the floor, without giving up the daylight and views that come through the glass.
With tall glass panels running the width of the room, the wall also had to open and close without anyone moving panels by hand.
What LG2 installed
LG2 installed a Modernfold ComfortDrive automated operable wall with Acousti-Clear double-pane glass panels. At the touch of a screen the panels drive out of the stack, travel to their programmed positions, then seal and lock on their own.
The wall runs from a wall-mounted touch screen. When it opens, the panels travel back along the track and the boardroom joins the surrounding floor.
