The project
How the space works
What the job needed
Kenowa Hills High School is part of Kenowa Hills Public Schools in the Walker and Grand Rapids area. Its football locker room needed lockers that hold a player's full set of gear and carry the school's logo around the room.
Football gear is bulky. Each stall needed a place for a helmet and shoulder pads, room to hang clothes, ventilated storage below, and storage that locks.
What LG2 installed
LG2 supplied and installed custom Athletic Edge welded steel cutback athletic lockers, 24" wide, 24" deep and 72" high, in a charcoal powder-coat finish. The graphic area on the inside back panel of every stall carries the Kenowa Hills KH shield logo in gold.
Each locker has an upper cubby with a door and a stainless steel recessed cup with a padlock hasp, plus a coat rod, two single coat hooks, and a helmet and shoulder pad holder on top. The padded seat lifts to open a lower foot-locker compartment with its own padlock hasp and a vented front.
A long run of lockers wraps the perimeter of the room, around a KH logo inlaid in the floor.
